There are people who sleep for several hours, go on holiday, take time off work and yet still feel exhausted. They wake up in the morning with no energy, find it hard to concentrate, lose their patience easily and feel as though something inside them has ’run dry«.
If you’ve ever found yourself wondering why you feel so tired when, in theory, there’s no serious reason for it, perhaps the answer lies in something deeper than physical fatigue.
Emotional and physical exhaustion is a condition that is affecting more and more people. And what is most worrying is that it usually goes unnoticed until it starts to affect relationships, work, finances and the quality of daily life.
1. You wake up feeling tired even after a good night’s sleep
This is perhaps the most common sign.
You sleep normally, but you wake up feeling as though you’ve never had a proper rest. Coffee becomes essential to get the day off to a start, and even then you feel as though you’re barely managing to function.
When exhaustion is mainly emotional or physical, sleep alone is not always enough to restore energy levels.
2. Little things annoy you more than they used to
A simple question, a message, a delay or a comment can get on your nerves far more than you’d expect.
It’s not because everyone has suddenly become more difficult. It’s because your nervous system is already operating at its limits.
When a person is under emotional strain for a long time, they gradually lose their patience and composure.
3. You’ve lost your enthusiasm
Things that used to bring you joy no longer move you in the same way.
You may carry on doing them out of habit, but deep down you don’t feel the same interest, the same inspiration or the same connection.
A loss of enthusiasm is often one of the first signs that the soul needs a rest.
4. You avoid the people you love
When a person’s energy reserves run low, even pleasant social interactions can seem demanding.
Many people who are experiencing emotional exhaustion begin to withdraw without realising it.
It’s not that they don’t love the people around them. It’s just that they feel they have no energy left to give.
5. The body starts to send signals
Headaches.
A heavy feeling in the stomach.
Tension in the neck.
Tension in the shoulders.
Difficulty sleeping.
A feeling of heaviness in the chest.
The body often expresses what the mind is trying to ignore.
When internal pressure builds up over a long period of time, the body starts to demand our attention.
What happens when we ignore these signs?;
Most people believe that the situation will sort itself out.
«I’ll have a bit of a rest and I’ll feel better.»
«It’s just a difficult time.»
«We’re all tired.»
However, when emotional and physical exhaustion persists for months or years, the consequences are not limited to one’s mood.
Decisions, relationships, career progression and overall quality of life begin to be affected.
The pitfall of decisions made out of fear
When we are in touch with ourselves, our decisions are based more on intuition, clarity and trust.
However, when we are exhausted, we often make decisions out of fear.
Fear of rejection.
Fear of change.
Fear of failure.
Fear of loneliness.
And that’s when we start to get stuck in situations that don’t help us grow.
In relationships that have run their course.
In partnerships that drain us.
In environments that make us constantly question ourselves.
Why are relationships affected?;
An emotionally exhausted person does not communicate in the same way.
He’s becoming more defensive.
More irritable.
More distant.
More suspicious.
More prone to misunderstandings.
This creates tension even in relationships that might otherwise be healthy.
Often, the problem isn’t the other person. It’s our own inner weariness that prevents us from seeing things clearly.
How might this affect the economy?;
This is something that is discussed less often but occurs frequently.
When a person’s energy levels are low, their clarity of thought also diminishes.
Decisions tend to be made more hastily or out of fear.
Opportunities are being missed.
Delays are occurring.
Decisions are made which later prove to be unwise.
Economic reality is much more closely linked to psychology and our inner state than we realise.
The heavy energy field affects more than you might think
In the energy traditions of many cultures, there is a belief that human beings consist not only of body and mind, but also of an energy field.
When this sphere is burdened by chronic stress, intense emotions, fear, conflicts and repressed needs, many people report feeling disconnected from themselves.
Intuition is diminishing.
Purity is being lost.
Creativity is restricted.
Self-confidence is being shaken.
And that’s how life starts to feel more like mere survival than conscious creation.
Why is discharging so important?;
Just as the body needs rest, so too does the soul need space to unwind.
We cannot constantly carry the burden of stress, responsibilities, disappointments, fears and negative experiences without eventually feeling the need to let off steam.
That is why more and more people are seeking practices that help with relaxation, inner balance and stress management.
One of these is Reiki.
What do the studies say about Reiki?;
In recent years, a number of studies have been carried out on the effect of Reiki on wellbeing and stress management.
In several of these, participants reported feeling more relaxed, experiencing reduced anxiety, enjoying better quality of sleep and feeling better mentally after the sessions.
Although Reiki is not a substitute for medical or psychological care, many people use it as a complementary practice to support their overall wellbeing.
When does one start to notice a difference?;
There is no one answer that applies to everyone.
Some people say they feel calmer even during their first session.
Others notice a difference within the next few hours or days.
There are people who said they came into the session with a headache, stomach ache or intense inner tension, and left feeling a great sense of relief.
For many people, the biggest change is not just how they feel physically, but also how they begin to view their lives.
They become more decisive in their decisions.
They set boundaries.
They stop putting up with situations that wear them out.
And very often, new circumstances, opportunities or people begin to appear that seem to steer them towards a more suitable path.
How often is it needed?;
Some people opt for one session a month for maintenance and energy healing.
Others opt for one session every two or three weeks when they are going through a period of intense stress or significant changes.
There are also people who prefer weekly sessions for a while until they feel they are regaining a greater sense of balance.
The frequency always depends on each person’s needs.
Could it be that you’re just tired after all?;
Perhaps the constant fatigue, the lack of motivation, the recurring difficulties in relationships, decisions made out of fear, and the feeling that life isn’t going the way you’d like it to – perhaps these are not unrelated.
It may well be the result of an inner exhaustion that has been demanding your attention for some time now.
Because often the problem isn’t that you’re not trying hard enough.
The problem is that you’ve been trying for a long time without looking after yourself first.
