From the 26 July to 11 December 2026, Saturn is moving in retrograde, heralding a period of re-evaluation of responsibilities, commitments, boundaries and important decisions.
In astrology, Saturn is associated with structure, time, maturity, responsibilities, boundaries and everything that requires consistency to endure. It is not the planet of quick results. It shows us what needs work, where we need to take on greater responsibility, and which choices can truly underpin our future.
During its retrograde motion, its influence becomes more internal. Situations we thought had been resolved may resurface; delays may force us to rethink our plans; and obligations we had put aside are once again demanding our attention.
This does not necessarily mean that anything that is delayed is doomed to fail. Often, retrograde Saturn gives us exactly the time we need to address our weaknesses before moving forward.
By 11 December, so the question is not just «What do I want to achieve?», but above all: What am I prepared to do on a regular basis to maintain it?;

ARIES
A profound period is beginning for you redefining your identity, your choices and the direction of your life.
You may feel that you need to take a personal goal more seriously, take on more responsibilities, or face the consequences of decisions you made in recent months. Projects you’ve started may need adjustments, more time or a different strategy.
At the same time, you’re re-evaluating the way you present yourself and the boundaries you set with others. You may become more selective about the people and situations you engage with, or realise that you have taken on roles that do not belong to you.
For some Aries, this is a time of greater pressure and responsibility. For others, it is the moment when they realise that they must stop waiting for the right moment and start seriously building the next chapter of their lives.
TAURUS
Saturn’s retrograde motion is drawing you more towards your inner world and calling on you to face unresolved issues, fears and situations that play out behind the scenes.
You may feel a greater need to get away from the hustle and bustle, cut back on social commitments and work out what is really draining you.
Old feelings of guilt, fears or emotional burdens may resurface. The same may happen with a matter you thought had been settled, or with a behind-the-scenes professional issue that needs to be resolved once and for all.
At the same time, you may realise that there are some battles you no longer need to fight. The period up to December is a good time to tie up loose ends and prepare for a more significant personal fresh start later on.
TWINS
The people around you are going through settlement.
Friendships that have run their course may drift apart, whilst people from your past may reappear so that you can work out whether there really is a reason for them to be in your life again.
At the same time, you might want to reconsider your involvement in a group, community, organisation or collaborative project. Working with a large group of people may cause delays or require clearer roles and greater accountability.
Most importantly, however, it’s about your long-term goals. A dream you once had may take longer to realise than you expected. You may also lose interest in a particular goal.
You’ll have it sorted by December what kind of future is truly worth building, and which people have a place in it.
CANCER
Your career and the broader direction of your life are going through a significant period of reassessment.
A promotion, a career change or a major project may be delayed, may need to be renegotiated, or may require more effort than you originally anticipated.
An old job offer, a former colleague or an unfinished project may also resurface.
Relationships with employers, line managers and people in positions of authority require careful attention. You may need to demonstrate your abilities more clearly or take on responsibilities that you have so far avoided.
At the same time, however, you may realise that the career path you’re following isn’t taking you where you really want to go.
By December, you are called upon to decide not just What sort of job are you looking for?, but what do you want to have achieved in the coming years?.
LEO
For you, major plans, studies, travels and decisions that could significantly broaden your horizons are being reconsidered.
A matter relating to overseas affairs may be delayed or require more organisation. The same may apply to studies, exams, qualifications, a training programme or relocation plans.
Legal or administrative matters may require greater attention and patience.
If you work in teaching, publishing, writing or content creation, you may need to revamp a major project before presenting it exactly as you want it to be.
On a deeper level, you are re-examining the things you used to take for granted about life. A belief that has guided you for years may no longer reflect who you are.
PARTY
Retrograde Saturn is urging you to get organised financial and emotional commitments.
Loans, debts, taxes, insurance, payment arrangements, financial obligations or money that you share with a partner or business associate may need to be reviewed.
You may need to cut back on your spending, organise your repayments more effectively or renegotiate a financial agreement.
At the same time, Saturn is asking you to examine your deeper commitments as well. How easily do you trust people? How financially or emotionally dependent are you on someone? Is there a genuine balance in your relationships?;
A relationship may need to tackle difficult but necessary discussions about money, trust, intimacy or a shared future.
LIBRA
Your relationships are entering one of the most important stress and maturity tests of this period.
A relationship may need to redefine its terms. Issues such as commitment, living together, marriage, distance or shared responsibilities may come up for discussion again.
This doesn’t necessarily mean a break-up. A relationship with solid foundations may now become even more serious. However, if a relationship was based mainly on avoiding problems, retrograde Saturn is unlikely to allow the same situation to continue unchanged.
The same applies to professional partnerships, contracts and agreements. A former partner may return, or the terms of an existing partnership may need to be amended.

SCORPIO
Your daily life, work and commitments need reorganising.
A work situation may require more effort, see old responsibilities return, or mean you have to rectify mistakes and outstanding issues from previous months.
It may also disrupt your daily routine, cause delays in recruitment or work-related processes, or mean you need to reassess your relationship with colleagues.
At the same time, Saturn shows you very clearly which habits are sustainable and which are not.
Sleep, diet, exercise, rest and, more generally, looking after your body require greater consistency. You don’t necessarily need a dramatic change. You need a routine that you can actually stick to.
SAGITTARIUS
Love, children, creativity and personal plans all go through a process maturation.
A romance from the past may resurface, or a current relationship may need to address a very specific question: is there a real future here?;
A relationship can become more serious, but a situation with no clear future can start to wear you down.
For those of you with children, your responsibilities may increase, or you may need to reconsider an important decision concerning them.
Creative and business projects may be delayed or require greater discipline. Your talent now needs systematic effort if you want it to yield tangible results.
Saturn asks you: Are you willing to put in the effort for the thing you love?;
SQUIRREL
Your home and family need your attention.
Moving house, buying or selling a property, carrying out renovations or making any other significant changes to your home may cause delays or require a different plan.
Old family matters may also resurface. A parent may need more support, or a family responsibility that you thought was temporary may end up taking up more of your time.
At the same time, you’re re-evaluating what security and stability mean to you.
You may need to set boundaries with your family, stop taking on responsibilities that aren’t yours, or address an old family pattern that continues to influence your choices.
HYDROCHOS
The way you think, communicate and make decisions is being re-evaluated.
Contracts, agreements, documents, business discussions and negotiations may require amendments or take longer to finalise.
An old proposal may resurface, whilst a discussion that was left unfinished may now require a definitive answer.
Developments may also relate to siblings, relatives, neighbours, travel or a means of transport.
If you work in communications, social media, sales, writing or teaching, you’re encouraged to organise the way you convey your ideas more effectively.
The most important lesson is to be more careful about what you say, agree to and promise. Your words carry more weight.
PISCES
After a long period during which Saturn forced you to redefine yourself, the lesson now shifts to the your financial and personal worth.
Income, expenditure and financial arrangements need to be reviewed. A source of income may be delayed, may need reorganising, or you may realise that you need to create greater financial stability.
You might want to review your rates, your salary, a professional agreement, or whether you’re actually being paid fairly for the work you do.
This period calls for more careful money management and fewer impulsive financial decisions.
The deeper lesson, however, concerns self-esteem. Saturn is calling on you to stop measuring your worth solely by the approval of others and to build something more lasting.
By 11 December, you may have a much clearer picture not only of what you’re worth, but also of what you are no longer willing to give without receiving something in return.
