The last few days of September and the first few days of October bring sudden changes, heated discussions, romantic reunions, power struggles and decisions that must not be made in the heat of the moment or in anger. Mars’s entry into Leo turns up the heat, Mercury moves into Scorpio, making conversations far more probing, whilst on 3 October Venus turns retrograde and reopens chapters we thought were closed. 

The question is not just what is returned. It is Why is he coming back, and is it really worth giving him another chance?.

28 September — Mars in Leo

Aris moves on to theLeo and it immediately changes the way we make our case. We want to show what we are capable of, to attract attention, to win over others and to secure what we believe we deserve.

Passion intensifies, but so does ego. The need to prove something can become just as strong as the desire itself.

On the same day, the The Sun at 5°33′ Libra forms a trine with retrograde Uranus at 5°33′ Gemini. A sudden piece of news, a new acquaintance or a change of plan can have a liberating effect. It is a day that favours different approaches, new ideas and decisions that break us out of stagnation.

Ο Mercury at 27°49′ Libra also forms a trine with the North Node at 27°49′ Aquarius. A conversation, a new acquaintance or a piece of information may turn out to be far more important than it first appears.

30 September — Words that reopen old wounds

Ο Mercury at 29°31′ Libra is opposite retrograde Chiron at 29°31′ Aries.

We may hear words that upset us because they strike a nerve. Old arguments may resurface, someone might say something that reminds us of a past disappointment, or we ourselves might feel that we must finally respond to something we had previously put aside.

A few hours later, the Mercury enters the sign of Scorpio. Communication becomes more intense, more exploratory and less superficial. We are no longer satisfied with a simple «everything’s fine». We want to know what is really going on. 

2 October — Be careful what you say and to whom

Ο Mercury at 2°29′ Scorpio forms a square with Mars at 2°29′ Leo.

Tongues can become sharp. Conversations can easily turn into arguments, and people may end up saying more than they actually intended.

Don’t respond just because your pride has been hurt. A spur-of-the-moment remark can cause far greater tension than there was to begin with.

In the evening, the Mercury at 3°06′ Scorpio forms a square with Pluto at 3°06′ Aquarius.

This is where words take on power. Secrets, revelations, behind-the-scenes information, obsessive thoughts and attempts to control can make the atmosphere feel much more oppressive.

Someone might try to pressure you into giving them the answer they want. The question is whether you really need to give it to them.

3 October — The day that changes the romantic landscape

Ο Mars at 2°48′ Leo forms a trine with retrograde Neptune at 2°48′ Aries.

Passion, inspiration, imagination and instinct come together. It is a perspective that can motivate us to pursue something we desire intensely, but we need to be certain that we are pursuing what actually exists and not what we would like to exist.

And then comes the big change:

Η Venus turns retrograde at 8°29′ Scorpio.

From now on, relationships, people from the past, financial choices, desires and unresolved emotional issues are all being re-examined.

An ex might come back. An old desire might be rekindled. A financial decision might need a second thought.

That same afternoon, the Mars at 3°06′ Leo is opposite Pluto at 3°06′ Aquarius.

And here, the situation becomes much more intense.

I want it. I’m fighting for it. I’m standing my ground. I’m not backing down.

The problem is that the other side can do exactly the same.

4 October — Reality demands answers

Ο The Sun at 11°18′ Libra forms an opposition with retrograde Saturn at 11°18′ Aries.

At some point, we need to grow up.

A plan may be delayed. A person may set limits. A situation may show us that it is not enough simply to want something — the right conditions must also be in place for it to work.

This particular perspective is not necessarily negative. However, it does remove any easy excuses.

Anything that has a solid foundation can be stabilised. Anything that is based solely on expectations begins to reveal its weaknesses.
