They didn't feel there was room for their own feelings because someone else - usually the mother or father - needed them \u00abstrong.\u00bb If you felt from a young age that must<\/em> to take care, to take care, to \u201cbe the mature one,\u201d then your childhood may have been overshadowed by a a role that never belonged to you<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n And no - it's not your idea. It's a family pattern<\/strong> that passes quietly from generation to generation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n At systems theory<\/strong>, we recognise the phenomenon where a child is \u201cforced\u201d to take on responsibilities, mental or practical, that belong to the parents. This usually occurs when one parent is mentally or emotionally absent, when there is bereavement, depression, addiction or unresolved trauma.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The child then enters in a carer's position<\/strong>, partner, even \u201cparent of a parent\u201d. This role reversal<\/strong> is not consciously done, but the soul knows it. And it pays the price.<\/p>\n\n\n\n If you grew up before your time, you probably:<\/p>\n\n\n\n You often carry inside you a eternal weight<\/em>: that your value is tied to giving<\/strong>.
