Astrology offers a unique lens through which to interpret our relationships, revealing the patterns, challenges and dynamics that characterize our interactions. From important to karmic to healthy relationships, our natal chart provides clues to how we connect with others and what lessons we are called to learn. Don't forget how perfect relationships don't exist so it goes without saying that there is no perfect synastry.

Of course if you want to learn more on a personal level you can book a session with me here.
What is a Significant Relationship in Astrology?
An important relationship is evident in the chart through strong aspects between personal planets (Sun, Moon, Venus, Venus, Mars) and the ascendant or angular houses.
Congregations and Triangles: They show natural harmony and understanding. When one's Venus conjuncts the other's Sun, the relationship is based on mutual appreciation.
Dominant houses: The 7th house (relationships) and the 5th house (love) reveal what kinds of connections we are drawn to.
Lunar Nodes: Aspects to the Moon Nodes (North and South) reveal a spiritual connection that can change our lives.
Vertex: Some have defined it as a baby ascendant and it shows those characteristics that we have innately. People who have planets personal, ascendant or chewing planets in our vertex are for us, tailor made for us.

What is a Karmic Relationship?
Karmic relationships are those that carry the burden of past lives. They are often intense, full of lessons and do not go unnoticed.
Aspects with the Moon Nodes: The conjunction or opposition of a planet to the Moon Nodes reveals karmic debts or lessons.
Saturn: Saturn often indicates commitment or a karmic "contract". Aspects to Venus or the Moon can indicate karmic ties that have to do with love and responsibilities.
Pluto: Relationships with a strong Pluto presence bring transformation. They often indicate that the two souls have come together again to accomplish something profound.
Conjunctions with our vertex also indicate something karmic if combined with any of the above.

What is a Healthy Relationship?
In astrology, a healthy relationship is characterized by balance, mutual respect and support.
Venus and Jupiter: Positive aspects between these planets indicate joy, kindness and generosity.
Hermes: Good communication is key. Aspects between Mercury and Moon favor emotional understanding.
Sun and Moon: Harmonious aspects to each other indicate compatibility and unity.
7th house: a healthy 7th house full of positive aspects indicates balanced partnerships.
Even in this case I would still like to see in the relationships some conjunction of one vertex with the vertex of the other.

What else can astrology reveal about relationships?
1. Transits and Progressive Maps:
Transits affect how we perceive our relationships. Saturn transiting the 7th house, for example, can bring crises or tests in commitment.
Progressive maps show how our relationships evolve over time.
2. Synastry:
Synastry compares two charts, revealing the dynamics and challenges of a relationship. Aspects of Pluto, Uranus or Saturn show how the relationship changes over time.
3. Advanced Map:
The composite map is created from the average of the two natal maps and shows the nature of the relationship as an entity.
4. Soul and Heart:
The 12th house often hides our deepest psychic connections. Aspects to Neptune can indicate romance or spiritual love.
Relationships, whether karmic, healthy, or simply important, are mirrors of ourselves. Through astrology, we can decode these dynamics, learning how to love, forgive and evolve. The art of astrology is not only to tell us who our ideal partner is, but to help us understand ourselves through our relationships.
