If you are into astrology and are trying to better understand how your sign affects you, you may have heard about the degrees and the Decades of the signs. If you listen to my predictions, I'm sure I've got your love stunned...

These two terms play an important role in astrology and can provide additional depth in understanding your personal chart. However, in order to accurately determine which degree your Sun belongs to, your personal horoscope will be needed, as the calculations are approximate. This is because the Sun, based on the astrological theory of the geocentric system, moves at a different speed each year, touching different degrees on the same dates.
Remember that the fate of your sign (and each element of your astrological chart) is the most important, because if an astrological phenomenon affects it directly, then and only then will you have a fact! For example, the Full Moon in Taurus on November 15, 2024 is hard-core with its conjunction with Uranus, but will ONLY affect degrees 22 to 26 of the fixed signs (Taurus, Scorpio, Leo, Aquarius). Even if you belong to the 3rd decanate, but your sign's degree is, for example, the 21st or 28th, you can sleep soundly!
What is the Decalogue?
Each sign covers 30 degrees (29 degrees and 59 tenths, to be exact) of the celestial cycle. This space is divided into three Decades, each of which includes 10 degrees. The decanate you belong to depends on your date of birth. The decans also determine different qualities and characteristics for the people who belong to them, giving more details about your sign - we will cover this in another article.
So let's look at the signs of the zodiac, their decanates, their degrees and their dates:

Why the Calculations are Approximate?
As mentioned above, each year the Sun moves at a different speed, and its degrees in a particular sign may not correspond exactly to the same dates from year to year.
Speed of the Sun? What do you mean, Christina?
- In astrology we use the geocentric system, meaning that the earth is mentally considered fixed and all other bodies revolve around it. Not because this is the reality, but because this is how the positions of the planets have been calculated since ancient times and it has been established in astrology.
In order to know the exact fate of your Sun, your personal horoscope needs to be drawn up based on your exact date, time and place of birth. This detail makes each astrological chart unique, accurately determining your astrological position and the influence of the planets.
If you want to know your exact fate, a session natal analysis with a professional astrologer will help you to understand more deeply the influence the Sun (and any other element of your horoscope) has on your personal chart. An astrologer, with accurate knowledge of your date and time of birth, will be able to determine the degrees of not only the Sun, but also the other planets, which play an important role in understanding your personality and your life in general.
The combination of your zodiac sign, decanate and fate is a personal guidance chart that can provide you with important information about how you interact with the world, how your relationships are affected, and what you can expect from life in different phases. Therefore, if you want to understand the details behind your birth and discover the hidden aspects of yourself, knowing your destiny accurately is the first step in that direction.
Don't forget, however, that astrology is an ever-changing world, and every time you explore it, you discover something new about yourself and your path.
